Join us in celebrating Nepali New Year 2083 (Bikram Sambat) with joy, culture, and togetherness in Berlin! The Nepali New Year marks new beginnings, happiness, and prosperity, bringing the community together to honor our rich traditions.
This special evening will feature an exciting lineup of the finest local artists, talented dancers, an energetic DJ (DJ Grenze), and a very special performance by the internationally acclaimed folk artist Arko Mukharjee with his band. Arko is widely respected in the Nepali music community for his deep connection to Nepali folk traditions, his soulful interpretations of classic songs like Resham Firiri and Timro Nai Maya, and for introducing Nepali music to audiences around the world through his powerful vocal presence and international collaborations.
With roots in the Darjeeling hills and a lifelong passion for folk music, Arko has become a beloved figure for celebrating and reviving traditional melodies while blending them with modern sounds, making him an artist of great importance and influence in the global Nepali music scene.
Other music bands: Himaberg and Mahayana will also be performing.
